Dr. Renae Schumann Elected as President of Texas Nurses Association, District 9

The Texas Nurses Association: District 9 recently announced that Houston Baptist University’s Dean, School of Nursing and Allied Health, Dr. Renae Schumann has been elected as the President-Elect / President / Past-President of the district for a term of three (3) years.

In results shared in the May 2020 issue of THE ADVOCATE, an official publication of the Texas Nurses Association, District 9, Dr. Schumann will hold the titles of President-Elect (2020-2021), President/TNA Delegate (2021-2022), and Past-President (2022-2023).  With history going back to 1887, the Texas Nurses Association offers a forum for the exchange of ideas, education, and information about the nursing profession.

Through the pursuit of the education and bringing forth qualified nurses built on a strong faith-based foundation, Dr. Schumann leads the School of Nursing and Allied Health at Houston Baptist University.  These programs include a fully online RN to BSN program and a hybrid MSN program.  For more information please visit https://onlinenursing.hbu.edu/ .
